What is Water Energy Kefir?

Let’s dive deep into a fermented water tonic.

Water kefir mushroom or Tibicos contains a matrix of beneficial bacteria a.k.a probiotics as well as beneficial yeasts to the human body. These organic compounds with the ingredients through fermentation process possess strong antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anti-tumor properties to mention a few of them.

After fermentation of water and sugars (the food for the beneficial bacteria), the powerful probiotic and other beneficial health properties are transmitted into the finished product that is called water kefir. This is how our Water Energy Kefir is produced. Some research has shown that if water kefir is consumed daily, it may help in many different ways to improve digestive system. Some of them would be direct pathogen inhibition and digestive tract detoxification. There is also a significant increase in production of healthy gut-bacteria (probiotics). The beneficial digestive acids have a strong effect aiding digestion thus giving the body what it needs to help for nutrient assimilation from food.

The example Let’s say we use strawberries to make strawberry-flavored water kefir. Strawberries naturally contain calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, zinc, copper, manganese, selenium and fluoride. After fermentation these beneficial minerals will float slowly into the strawberry water kefir. Strawberries are also a natural source of vitamins A, C, E (Alpha Tocopherol), K, B3 (Niacin or Nicotinic Acid), B6, B9 (Folate), B5 (Panthothenic Acid) .
